  • Julie Paik 🇰🇷🇺🇸

    Julie has joined Bank.Green as a UX Designer; she is based in NYC but is frequently with her family in Houston. In her past life she has worked as a software engineer as well as in communications and education roles. When she's not sitting at her desk you’ll find her doing anything active and social or reading, drawing/crafting, and listening to podcasts!  While she doesn't officially have a pet of her own, she’ll often refer to her 15 year old family dog, Gomi, as hers.

  • Marcos Oliveira 🇧🇷

    Marcos is a Senior Data Scientist and Computer Science Professor passionate about data-driven solutions. He holds a BSc. and an MSc. in Computer Science, as well as a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. With over 10 years of experience, he has applied data manipulation, visualization, statistics, and artificial intelligence in various research projects. He aspires to make a positive impact on society by being part of Bank.Green.

  • Sugam Upadhayay 🇳🇵 🇺🇸

    Financial Analyst with a focus on Circular Economy for a sustainable future. Previously worked in the banking and hospitality industry. Currently researching ways to move from the Linear Economy to the Circular Economy model for mitigating the effects of irresponsible consumption, and adverse climate change.

  • Marjolein van Dillen 🇳🇱

    Marjolein lives in Hilversum, Netherlands, and has a background in banking and IT. After retiring in 2020, she focused on sustainable data, contributing to FossilFree Netherlands and groen-pensioen.nl, helping ABP divest from fossil fuels. Now, she's working on a Proof of Concept at Bank.Green to automatically identify investments that don't align with ESG policies.

  • Martha Murphy 🇺🇸

    Martha is a freelance copywriter for several successful brands who was looking for ways to do good outside of her regular job. She chases surf and snow around Europe with her fiancé and their adventure-loving pup.

  • Ruman Belhim

    Ruman contributed as a UI/UX designer, helping the team refine its digital experience . He has previously worked as a software engineer and developer. He regularly volunteers at a local animal shelter, helping with pet adoption events and care for rescued animals.

  • Dave Goslyn 🇬🇧 🇨🇦

    Dave is a charity sector professional who's worked for NGOs in the UK, Canada and Colombia, and currently leads on fundraising for both a Toronto-based charity and Bank Green.  He loves designing and arguing the case for new programmes, campaigns and product ideas, and if he's not deep in a fundraising proposal he's busy thinking up new ways raise the funds we need to achieve our essential mission.  Either that, or taking any opportunity he can to practice his Spanish, play football or go paddle boarding! 

  • Sameer Sharma 🇮🇳

    Hello, and thanks for stopping by! I am an ACCA student, and by the time you read this, I may have become a fully qualified chartered accountant. Currently, I am part of the Data & Impact team at Bank.Green, working towards a more sustainable future in banking.   • Kanika Bhandari 🇮🇳

    Kanika is a 19-year-old aspiring student pursuing ACCA alongside her graduation. She has worked as a Research Analyst and collaborated with various teams, including the Data Team, Impact Team, and Ratings Team. She also contributed to multiple projects under the Watchtower initiaive and has gained valuable experience across diverse domains. She finds peace in nature, especially in greenery and mountains, and enjoys visiting hill stations. Outside of work, she enjoys meaningful conversations and lighthearted gossips.

  • Anshika Bhandari 🇮🇳

    Anshika is an ACCA student with a strong interest in finance and sustainability. She worked at Bank.Green as a Research Analyst, where she collaborated with the Data and Impact Teams, contributed to bank ratings, and played a key role in the Watchtower project.Outside of her professional interests,she enjoys dancing, traveling, and seeking out new adventures. She has a deep appreciation for nature and is passionate about promoting sustainability.

  • Adnan Haramy 🇸🇾

    Adnan is a dedicated software engineer with a specialization in frontend development. His enthusiasm for acquiring new technological skills is matched by his commitment to improving the world. Driven by a desire to make a positive impact, he aims to develop innovative solutions that assist individuals and organizations in addressing the challenges of climate change. At Bank.Green, Adnan worked on form submission for bank engagement campaigns.

  • Ilias Ism 🇧🇪 🇨🇭

    Ilias Ism is one of the founders of Bank.Green and as a SaaS founder in several successful startups, Ilias felt he could use his experience in tech to build the foundation of the website. Now, he runs an SEO agency in Switzerland helping non-profits with marketing.

  • Neil Simpson 🇬🇧

    Neil used to write for London restaurant guides and tourism magazines, until he realised that he only wanted to write about protecting the environment. Neil is currently travelling around Australia, volunteering on farms, and writing as he goes.

  • Luke Gelmi

    Luke is an ex-oil-and-gas Chemical Engineer who - after hearing the bleak image that climate scientists are painting of our future - has made the switch to fighting for a planet we can all live on for the next hundred generations.

  • Alice Hu 🇺🇸

    When Alice finished school in 2019, she had the strongly felt but vaguely conceived plan to somehow de some good in the world. As she reckoned with her own eco-grief, she found her place in climate campaigning, working to create a livable world for all from New York City.

  • Christian Harries 🇫🇷

    Christian is an experienced software engineer who is passionate about using his skills to help fight climate change and is currently working on a project to help people reduce their carbon footprint. Christian was part of the team between September 2023 and March 2024.

  • Martine Ballinger 🇬🇧

    Between March 2023 and January 2024, Martine worked on the research team, helping to collect and summarize information on banks. She also delved into policy analysis for coal and steel.

  • Lynette Murguia 🇺🇸 🇲🇽

    Between September 2023 and April 2024, Lynette worked on the design team at Bank.Green creating user flows and mockups for the website. She is a UX Designer with a background in the financial services industry. In her spare time, she loves to travel, hike, cook, and spend time with friends and family.

  • Jacklyn Hart 🇺🇸

    Jacklyn transition from her career in traditional finance to focus on impact investments in 2021. She is devoted to doing her part to mitigate climate change and make the world a better place.

  • Calum Hall 🇬🇧

    Calum spent his time at Bank.Green on the ratings team, determining how committed banks were to decarbonising as well as evaluating their future environmental commitments. He now works in upgrading the UK’s national electricity infrastructure to meet the governments mandate of net zero by 2050.

  • Pooria Taghdiri 🇮🇷 🇨🇦

    Pooria is a passionate software engineer, eager to learn new technologies and gain insights from others. He enjoys making even a small positive impact on the environment. Riding a bike, rock climbing, Physics, Astronomy, reading books, and listening to music are integral parts of his life. He spent his time at Bank.Green working on systems to help customers advocate for change at their banks.

    Ahmed is a software engineer and computer science student at University of South Florida. He is passionate about combating climate change because he believes in the power of technology to create lasting solutions and is proud to bring his professional tools and skills to the fight.

  • Mayank Gupta 🇮🇳

    Mayank is a consulting professional with over 7 years of experience in sustainability and climate change. He has worked on projects ranging from designing policies to project implementation for governments at various levels in India. He is pursuing a Dual Degree in International MBA and a Master's in International Development at IE Business School to understand global business practices and their intersection with sustainable development goals. He enjoys pushing his limits through adventurous activities such as trekking and participating in adventure races.

    Jenny has over 10 years of experience working in design and marketing across the UK charity sector. Now working as a freelancer based in Canada, she is interested in using her skills to help organisations that are working for both people and the planet.

  • Michael Scheiwiller 🇨🇭

    Michael is a data scientist specializing in sustainability and clean tech, using his skills trying to make impactful solutions in these critical fields. He recently developed a passion for open source and tries to contribute in the ecosystem whereever possible. Outside of work, he enjoys sports in all variations and spening time with friends and family.

    Ning is from Shanghai and currently, she's working from Vancouver as a UX designer. Her background was in Finance, and she later pivoted into product design. Ning is excited to work in a cross-functional team. She is reachable on her LinkedIn.

  • Komal Rao 🇮🇳 🇺🇸

    Komal has transitioned into UX a little over a year ago after 7 years of her stint at Adobe as a Backend Software Engineer! She is super interested in getting into climate tech and hoping that's the way forward for her! Outside of work, she illustrates, dances, cooks( really basic stuff ) and mostly spends her weekends trying to find new vegan places in SF! She is reachable on her LinkedIn , as she also loves meeting new people and learning about them.

  • Joscelyn Vásquez 🇵🇪

    Jos is a UX Designer with experience in web-based solutions. As a former environmental consultant, her interaction local people and communities shaped her mindset, driving her transition to UX. Her goal is to contribute to the development of solutions that help people and organizations mitigate climate change.

  • Alia Yusuf 🇮🇩 🇬🇧

    Alia is a research assistant with a background in international organisations and public policy. Conscious of the urgency of the climate crisis, she is looking for other more direct ways to help out. In her spare time, you will likely find her playing badminton or creating illustrations.

  • Sophia Auer 🇩🇪

    Soph is a Software Engineer, specialized in Frontend and has been in the tech industry in other positions since over 6 years. They're passionate about using their skills to have a positive impact on climate justice, education and other causes. In their free time, they have more hobbies than time allows but currently love spending time on music, art and skateboarding.

    Devante is a Product Manager with experience in delivering SaaS and Marketplace products that meet user needs and business objectives. Passionate about climate and environmental initiatives, he's motivated to create change in financial industry by empowering people and businesses through technology. Outside of building and growing products, Devante remains committed to personal growth through reading, fitness, and connecting with open-minded individuals.

  • John Rembowski 🇬🇧

    John is a researcher, writer, and organiser working on the climate and ecological crises. His experience to date spans the public, private and third sector as a policy analyst, consultant, and grassroots coordinator. He believes strongly in the importance of dismantling fossil capital to co-create just and equitable futures, and sees Bank.Green as a critical tool to help us get there.

  • Alexander Sibhatu

    With a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Alexander is a software developer based in the UK. He joined our team in November 2024 as a Full-Stack Developer and has been working on everything from component implementation to UI improvements, as well as managing data flow between servers and frontend applications. When he's not coding, you'll find him running, playing football, reading, or tuning into tech podcasts.
