Self-Help Credit Union has branches in NC, SC, FL, GA and VA, and offers online and mobile banking to customers outside of those states.
Self-Help Credit Union does not finance fossil fuel extraction, processing or distribution and has a clear policy to that effect. It does offer a range of "green" lending products. As it October 1, 2024, it has provided $463 million in commercial loans that support green projects (including renewable energy loans, building loans that include energy efficiency upgrades, and loans to green businesses and non-profits).
