Progressive Building Society does not have commercial lending, so it is not funding fossil fuel companies. We'd like to see Progressive offer "green" products, such as loans for energy efficiency home improvements.
We'd also like to see Progressive measure its greenhouse gas emissions (including emissions enabled by its lending) and set targets to reduce such emissions.
We were founded on the belief that banks have had an easy time from their customers for too long. Our mission is to encourage as many people as possible to take a stand - to refuse to let their money fuel environmental destruction any longer.
