Motusbank is digital brand of Meridian Credit Union and because of that, has the same rating as Meridian.

Meridian does not provide sufficient information on its lending activities and policies, so we cannot rule out that it lends to companies engaged in the fossil fuel industry.

We would like to see Meridian measure the greenhouse gas emissions impact of its lending, set science-based targets, provide transparency about sectors it finances and put in place an explicit policy stating that it will not lend to the fossil fuel industry.

We do not believe that achieving carbon neutrality by purchasing carbon offsets is enough.
