Monument Bank
Your bank has room for improvement on climate responsibility.
Monument is not transparent about its lending practices and does not have an exclusion policy. However, as it only had GBP173M of loans at the end of 2024, it is unlikely that it is financing fossil fuel companies.

We'd like to see the bank provide a disclosure of its commercial lending by industry. We'd also like to see it measure emissions enabled by its lending, put in place science-based emission reduction targets not reliant on purchase of carbon credits, and start offering "green" products such as preferential rates on loans to purchase solar panels.
We were founded on the belief that banks have had an easy time from their customers for too long. Our mission is to encourage as many people as possible to take a stand - to refuse to let their money fuel environmental destruction any longer. Join us in building this movement by pressuring your bank to do better, or by taking your money to somewhere that cares about our planet's future.
