KFW is a promotional bank for the government. We've not been able to ascertain the extent of KFW's financing of fossil fuels, although it's clear that the bank is reducing its exposure and increasing funding for renewables.

We'd like to see the bank disclose its ratio of renewable energy lending to fossil fuel lending. We'd also like it to tighten its exclusion policy by ensuring that it applies to all types of conventional fuels and projects and by making it immediate. We'd also like it to see it set science based targets.
