Banca Transilvania has a great track record of funding renewable energy projects.
It has set a target for 5% of its corporate portfolio to consist of 'green' loans by 2025 (while extractive industries account for only 0.13% at the end of 2023).
It also offers green consumer products, such as mortgages for energy efficient homes.
We would like to see the bank put in place a comprehensive exclusion policy stating that it will not provide any new financing (including refinancing) to the fossil fuel sector.
